Plan on taking a weekend off and do some fishing in South Dakota. I was wandering if there are any lakes that are producing some fish. All the reports I read are saying that fishing is fair. Any suggestions would be appreciated. It would also be nice to know where, how, and what is the best bait/lure to use.
Thanks

just wondering if you are a smart a** or if the fishing is poor
The fishing reports have not been very positive over the weekend.
However, that won't stop me from trying it this weekend!!

Waubay is the best bet for perch. We did great saturday through monday. The bite can be tough and light at times but if you are on fish you will catch some, just try to find and stay on them. If reports say fishing is slow that just means fish have moved. Evenings have been pretty hot, nice fish too.

Walley250:
Was on Waubay on Tuesday afternoon. Did alright on Perch. 12 between 2 of us for 3 hours work. Took awhile to get em to start but it was fast once it did. Caught em all in about the last hour. Didn't move around very much. Just from hole to hole in about a 30 square yard area. It was about 20 above not 20 below like their talking though now. Jigging buckshots and minnow heads in 23 foot. Good luck to you if you get to Waubay.
