This is for those that might be new to the sport of ice-fishing. Get lots of questions about this subject. So here is an example on video for those interested. Just click this link http://easylink.playstream.com/baydenoccharters/010905_1_fish_jigging_how_to-1.wvx
Good luck on the ice. Oh, might as well do a quick report for Little Bay de Noc. Duh...Tough bite of late. Been a longtime since the bite has been this tough. Also been awhile since it has been this fricken cold! Anyway, a freighter came into Gladstone again last Saturday, so there is once again a channel to watch out for down the middle of the bay up through the narrows at Gladstone and then west to the coal dock. But,the bay has put on much ice of late with close to 18 inche north of Gladstone now, and a good foot between Gladstone and Escanaba. With the exception of around the ore docks at Esky and also on the east side off Stonington. Haven't heard any reports of any good numbers of fish taken this past week. Mostly 1's and 2's each trip. Lots of Burbot though. Had a couple tonight for supper! I will post when the bite picks up.
