tuesday eve , I Ventured out onto the ice at whites landing on Sandusky Bay, Ice was about 4 inches , Did not go all the way to springs, I am sure they are thinner , but we should be able to fish by weekend, water was very murky.

Joe, Took franks white shanty out to the 1st spring with the 4 wheeler last night (Right before dark) Ice at the cove was shoved into the ramp so we had to go down to jim's house by willow point to launch. The wind switched lastnight and there is shove ice along the shore making things not fun. 2nd spring (Big one) was open, 1st spring had about 3-4 inches , but away from the springs was fine, held shanty & ATV no problem. Jerry, Mike , Frank were headed out at 7:00 am (water is like coffie)Headed out right after work, meet up with me.

Fishied the 1st spring yesterday 1/20. From 9:30 am til-2:00 pm . 2 fish caught (perch) 2 missed. Better than going to work. Water is very dirty. Ice condition is ok away from springs about 5 inches everywhere, on the 1st spring there is only 3-4 inches. 2nd spring is open. I would stay to the right (east) side of springs if fishing this weekend.
