I am new to colorado. Have done a lot of walleye fishing in Nebraska especially Big Mac. I am going to try Horsetooth this weekend. Any advice from people who have fished it before? Any ideas would be helpful.
Thanks

It can depend on conditions and water temp. I haven't been out yet this year, but good spots are off the face of the dams and along rocky shorlines. Pulling bottom bouncers and crawlers is always productive and trolling crankbaits like shadraps can be good. You can have lots of action but most of your fish will be below the 18" minimum size limit. I have used jig-minnow combos but the fish tend to be scattered and trolling has always been best for me. Good luck.
