erie report for friday/saturday

[Boatnut]

Started out friday by Scott shoal bouy and trolled towards kelly. we struggled to get 3 fish in lots of boat traffic. Ran to niagra and started trolling just east of a line between niagra and "D" can. Picked up 9 more but had to do lot of sorting. Went back out to same spotat niagra early sat. a.m. and banged them pretty good. had our 12 by 10:45. Most were nice fish, only few throw backs. Lots of huge sheepheads as well. Trolled 40 jets back 40' and 30 jets back 50 and 60. Big dipseys on #1 between 25 and 30 and #3 between 40 and 50. Used mostly Pa's fintail spoons and any of them with pink were hot.
Jets seemed to have slight edge to the dipsey's. As a bonus, when I Pulled in one of the trolling bags there was a blue 30' jet with a nice stinger spoon on it. Anyone lose it?

worked from the Castle to Beaver Saturday, the marks once again were rediculous but only were able to pick 5 nice fish all day with no set pattern. It sounded on the radio as if it was a tough day for many. There was a lot of junkfish in the area and got a bunch of spikes.

Worked castle/cranberry area.No good news from me.Extremely slow,picked a couple.Still great to be on the water.Had my boy out and good company to boot.It was a good day!!
