View Full Version : Elephants, Fish, and the Paranormal

I think it was the discovery channel that had a program on about Elephants. And that they are the only mammal that visits the bones of it's dead relatives. Researchers went so far as to suggest they even showed emotions, as they touched and inspected the bones of their dead relatives, with their trunks. These bones were treated as an Elephant Cemetery by the Elephants.
Since rivers, and lakes are strewn with the remains of dead fish, would the entire body of water be considered a Fish Cemetery? And would researchers consider fish to be emotionally connected to their dead relatives? Does the action of one fish pecking at the flesh of a dead relative, evoke a sense of emotion on the part of the fish? Or doesn't that count? Since fish are such readily Cannabils of their on species?
And what do these questions have to do with the Paranormal Realm?
I'm glad you asked!
Time for a little confession, on my part. I am a novice Ghost Hunter. And one of the tools of the trade, for Ghost Hunters is an EMF (Electro Magnetic Frequency) Detector. Which measures the EMF waves in the area around you. Peeks in the frequency can indicate the presence of a ghost.
A coworker of mine is an avid fisherman, he has all the gadgets for the trade, to lure and find the fish. But he was wondering if an EMF Detector could be used to locate areas, where fish would come to visit the bones of their dead relatives? Do you think that would be possible?
Would a person have to go to the local fish market, and take an "EMF Reading" on the Day's Catch, to determine what frequency the fish ghosts would pickup on, and then check for that frequency in your local lakes, and rivers to deterime where the Fish Ghosts are located at? And thus home in on the locations of the Fish Cemeteries.
Or would it be a better idea to contact a "Psychic Mediam", and ask if they can Channel in on the Spirit of a corpse of a Walleye, that you had bought at the fishmarket, to see if the Fish Spirit would tell you where to go fishing to catch more of it's brethern?
Shhhh! I hear the Doctor returning! It's time for my Thorazine!!
*PLEASE GOD*
Send us some open water, and real soon, dammit.
I think we've already lost ol' Dinky Dave over the edge, and there's some others lookin' mighty strange to me too.
*PLEASE*

Not sure how you got from elephants to fish. I do believe that the emotional attachment of elephants to their dead relatives is a fact, and yet that fact applied to fish is a "stretch" at best. I also think that animals do display emotions, example the birds that show color changes during mating season, the color changes that some reptiles go through during stress periods. These changes take place due to hormonial changes, but then again, what are emotions?....Hormones!!
As for the paranormal, yup, they are among us. The Spirit world is what controls the seperate systems on Mother Earth. The reference to the Fish Spirits was made in jest, yet those of us that believe in the Spirit world, would think this to be a normal approach to entering into the realm. Having a vision when I was younger, was only a beginning to my educational journey into the real realm of Earth and Sky. Carrying a Spirit, not of me, but of Mother Earth, is with me at all times, giving me an insight to what the creatures of earth are really all about. We as humans, are no more or less than any other living thing on earth, and so we need to know all that we can about what makes this Earth work in harmony, so to understand the Fish Spirits, is to know the "how, when, where" of the fish. To sacrifice to the Fish Spirit, as well as all Spirits, is to show respect, and respect is the ultimate honor to give, and in return, you shall be honored with respect.

My thorazine must be kicking in, because the message board says I have 3 replies to my thread, but when I scroll down the page there are none to retrieve!
What gives? Were they nasty responses that were deleted?

Ignore that last post. Doc says I need ECT (Electro Convulsive Therapy). Could they do that with a depth finder?
It's been a long, long winter :-(

I am laughing so loud my kids had to come down to see what was so funny. They said they'd never heard me laugh like that. What a great site. I want to go hunting for the ghost of walleye's past. Don't really care about running into any elephants though.

Not sure about the depth finder but a Guest charger or a pair of jumper cables might do the trick.
I know there are sprits from the water world. They tangle my lines in the rod locker and drive the boat in cirlcles if I leave the trolling motor on and dont pay attention.

There are 2 things I know I want I want the paranormal to help catch me a elephant of a walleye during the next tournament so my wife would turn as white as a ghost because I actually brought some money home instead of calling for some to be wired to me .

Tough Guy have issues with this statement, "We as humans, are no more or less than other creatures on earth." Tough Guy like to think he have more to say about Mother Earth care than creatures of the animal kingdom. Tough Guy not slamming here, just disagreeing.

As a meddical professional (actually I am not a Dr, but I did sleep in a holiday Inn last night) I c an tell you how to give yourself shock therapy. get a car battery, some jumper cables and a gallon can of petroleum jelly. Connect the cables to the battery, grease yourself up with the Petroleum jelly, and have at it.

Since we now have the EMFs of the gut hooked fish floating in the currents and their remains can be found down at the closest cemetery so the living one's can vent their emotions the waters are really getting charged up.
Now couple that EMF charge with the Positive Ion's emmitted by the downriggers and the next time we catch a fish and go to net it while holding onto an aluminum handle dipped into this Paranormal Edison field of super energy either we will see a big blue light thru the one remaining eyeball dangleing from its socket or your nose hairs are gonna tickle you to death.

45 degrees outside, saw 2 robins, soft water on the lakes and rivers while the boat is under going a rebirth and is in the shop. Go figure.
We would be willing to test Dinky Dave in our Labs........There is a good chance he is a reincarnated Walleye. By his talk and his mannerisms I am almost certain. We will offer him a home and a job if he is. He will fit right into our organization.

In prisons they call it the Tucker Telephone -- developed at the Tucker facility in Arkansas. Powerful, highly portable, efficient -- behavior modification maximized, especially when electrodes touch private parts.

You don't think that we as humans are more or less than any other creatures on this planet? I would have to say that we are one of the two, but I'm not sure which.

After reading Dinky's post, that explains the experience I had today. Having just bought a new 2000 Targa which is in the garage behind a 12' drift, it caused me to have a vision. While stuck in a snow drift in the middle of nowhere, through the blowing snow I could've swore I saw an elephant picking at the bones of a dead relative. He was having a hard time as the snow was quite deep where he was searching. and my wife thinks I'm weird when I sit in front of the tv with a fishing pole watching In-Fisherman!
Spring, hurry up!

LAST EDITED ON Feb-28-01 AT 10:10PM (CST)[p]"There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable."
"I believe this has just happened."
I'm going to go to Erie tomorrow and play "dodge em" with floating ice in my ultra expensive Yar-Craft. Is that crazy or what. Do you think one of those EMF thingies could find a Walleye if we mated one with an elephant or would we just have a 4 pound walleye with big tusks. New world record walleye 2,750 pounds. A little genetic engineering and it could be done.

I am aware of this, I was Posing as, er, I was a Doctor there for 7 years. It is not always for pain you know. Portable electro shock therapy can be done for fun and profit! It can even be self inflicted! Many things are much more fun with a shot from a group 31 battery! And it really makes the naughty parts tingle too!

If you really are a PETA-person, I can't believe that you would even consider such treatment of a Lab. If you HAVE to test Dinky in any breed of dog, please make it a "fifi".

I understand that the U.S.F.W.S has a new hybrid fish for stocking.
They know how all fishermen/women love the taste of Walleye, but wanted more fight in the fish. So, they crossed the Walleye with a Muski. That being done, they decided that they wanted a little salmon flavor to the meat, so they crossed the Wallski with a Kokanee.
Now, with this success they needed a name, they named it the Kowalski....Now all they have to do is teach the dumb thing to swim.....

Ishpeming think TBO have good understanding of his place in this journey. Ishpeming always try to look where he put his foot down and tread lightly, too.
Ishpeming see himself as mosaic, many small pieces make the whole. The small pieces are the things gained along the journey that shape the future.
Ishpeming see his place among animals, not above animals! Ishpeming have walleye for dinner tonight and thank walleye for gift, but thank many more. Me thank minnow that gave life on jig, all fish and animals great walleye has eaten on his journey, and most important, Ishpeming thank Manito the great creator.
Ishpeming greatest fear that if he not respect all he come across, maybe Manito not respect him!

It would be cruel to feed Dinky Dave to any dog. I mean those drugs he has been taking...that cannot be good for a dog to eat.
Probably make him irregular.
