Planning on a trip to Pierre later this month. Usually use the boat ramp at Cow or Spring Creek but may want to launch further north to save on boat fuel. Are the roads to Little Bend and Bushs Landing still gravel after you leave Hwy. 1804?

The last 7 miles to Little Bend is all gravel, if you're worried about your boat. All of the road to Bushes is black top, except after you've gone west of Sunset Lodge. From Sunset to Bushes, the black top is broken up, with about have gravel and half asphalt.

Thanks for the information. My fishing partner has a newer Limited Edition Tyee and hoping to not intentionally beat it up more than necessary.

i would use the ramp at bush's if you want to fish that area of the lake. otherwise if you want to fish the lower end use spring creek.

Hi Guys,

I'll be going up to Mobrdige next week. Can you tell me which ramps are accessible at Mobridge and down to the 212 bridge?

How's the maze of trees in Swan creek? Is it hairy getting in and out? It was pretty shallow last august when I was there last. Any worse than it was then?

I was just out at Mobridge, we used the Indian Creek low water ramp. Very nice facilities.

Also fished West Witlock, only one dock, and lots of traffic on the weekends, but very usable.

Ryan, how was the bite your last time out. We're headed that way Thursday and are not sure how far to drive north.

Hogslammer;

I would probably suggest starting on the south end of Oahe, and working north as needed. (You probably wouldnt have to move at all!) Local reports have indicated the Bush's Landing, Cow Creek, Cheyenne River area, and up to Whitlock have all been producing very well. We fished in Mobridge for two days, (family in mobridge) then headed down to Whitlock. The fishing at West Whitlock was significantly better than in the Mobridge area, at least for us. Lots of silvers, and channel cats on the bite in the Mobridge area, had a hard time keeping them off actually. Fished the Moose Flats, up to the Singing Bridge and back to the Blue Blanket area at Mobridge. Covered quite a bit of water.
