Went out N-NE 10 miles to about 73-75fow and started trolling W to East and boated 5 and dropped 3 also 4 steelhead hookups. Big Al Johnson was a rude guest again, I took him along and he boated a 32 5/8" eye. It was a tough troll in the 3's and occasional 4s but that big fish made the day worth it. We'll be out there again Thursday if anyone is going that way.

Smalleye,

We didnt get out until about 2pm on Sunday- We saw a boat out there yesterday that looked like yours but had an I/O not a Merc O/B and figured out it wasnt you. There were alot of fish out there but the wind and waves made it rough to stay on them. Al, I Know you are all excited about that fish but turn those caps off they about made me crosseyed!

Lim there is a ramp that is run by there port authority. It will work but be very careful to not back in too far. There is a 3 ft or so drop off that loves to eat axels, cost me about 400 when it ate mine. The end of the dock has a white line painted on it that says stop here or somthing, be mindful of that, meaning do not pass this line with you wheels, and stay in the marked channel leading into the bay and you will be fine. I would keep your lower unit tilted up until you get out of the markers.

The ramp is extended this year but you do want to trim up your motor backing in at this ramp. Also when you go past the wall make sure you stay in the marked channel going out of the harbor. PS the chanel markers have good lights on them this year so if you want to get a early start in the morn it should be on prob. for a 1st time launch from this port.I have a 24 foot boat and have no problems launching my boat there.
