Has anyone ever fished Tionest Lake in Forest County?
I am looking for some general fishing info on where to fish and what fish this lake is better known for? I am really hoping for walleye! Any information you can provide on the lake and fishery would be much appreciated.
Good fishin'

I haven't fished Tionesta in a number of years, but seeing as how you may not get many replies as this is a pretty small lake I'll give my two cents. I recall there are walleyes in the lake, as well perch, crappies, musky, and trout, but my recollection is that they are not found in any great abundance or size. I assume you will be camping in the area, you may want to try Kinzua, it's only an hour up the road.

....or try the Allegheny river...it is less than a mile from the outflow of Tionesta lake. There are several launches on the river within a short drive. However, the river is too shallow in many areas for regular v-hull lake boats, you'll need a small boat or waders, or a jet drive river boat.

I just read a report of a 53" musky coming out of the Tionesta. It was released.
