I received a call yesterday from an angler telling me that any number of his fellow anglers are concerned about the number of boats in MWC tournaments as listed here on walleye central. They believe registration is way down and are wondering if they should even enter.
One bit of advice Kaz passed along was to always nip any rumors in the bud.
If the number of boats and the resulting prize money is the reason you enter a tournament, please note . . . that the boat number lists posted here are not updated daily. And with Maura off on her honeymoon, it'll be nearly another couple of weeks before an update occurs.
There are more teams currently entered than are listed here for every tournament.
We get entries everyday (Monday seems to be the heaviest for email registration). And the fact is, registration is pretty much following along the same timeline as last year. If people can wait to part with their registration fee, they will. Tournament deadlines are a long way off in several instances.
We're confident that the MWC will have a good showing at each site.
