I was up there the first weekend of October---we were targeting perch and caught almost nothing but hand sized white bass. Did pull in some tiny walleye and sheephead. Tried targeting Walleye one afternoon and got nothing. I know they are there and can be had with patience, but if you are taking your kids, put on some ice jigs and wax worms and have a ball with the white bass. We caught 85 of them in about 3 hours one afternoon.

Live Long and Prosper

Good luck.

Mike

Check with the folks at Schmidt's Landing resort. They post a fishing report on their website on a regular basis and when I have called them they are pretty accurate and honest about what is going on on the lake. Their website is www.schmidtslanding.com.
Good luck.
