Got an early start trolling the north shore of the lake, marking fish in the 16-19' range, about 10' down. Started at 4:30 am and had 2 in the boat by 6:30 18/20". Trolled deep blk/silver Rogue and brn/orange Renosky-both fish on the Rogue. After sun-up, the fish were being marked at the breakline from 19-32', trolled the breakline back and forth, running the lures up and down the breakline, keeping the Rogue and changing the other lure out. Caught another 3 eyes through the day, and as soon as the sun set, caught 2 doubleheaders, with the fish the biggest of the day 22-24". I had changed both lures to ReefRunner deep divers-1 wonderbread and the other a gold with brown spots-and they worked!
Fished Sunday from 6:30 to 11:30 am- took 1 18" and lost 1 big one that buried the board when it hit. I was getting ready to net the fish when I bent over, dipped the rod tip and the fish came unbuttoned. Since I only had 1 in the livewell, and it was doing great-I let it go and called it a day for the 4 hour trip back home.I felt it was a pretty good fall trip to Oneida....

Walt..Thanks for the report! I've been debating one last trip to Oneida before the big boat gets put away for the winter. I hit our local river (Susquehanna) a few days ago and caught about 25 walleye.. the largest was maybe 12 inches! The water's high and muddy, but it's dropping, clearing and cooling down quickly, so the big guys should be arriving soon! Good Fishing, Sluggo (Chris)
