You may want to try the night bite right off Merlands docks, casting the weedbeds from 10 till 2am. You can also get them off the Picton town dock/boat ramp. long reach would be a good bet also.

Just spent Nov 5-9 at Merlands. Fished for three straight days without a fish...Fishing shut down for everyone with the front and winds that blew in. Heard of only nine fish caught the entire time that we were there, but friends smashed them earlier that week before we got there. Most of the fishin is occuring at the "Reach" from the silo down to the ferry. Pulling reef runners and tail dancers down 22' to 28'. Fishing in water from 60' to 120' the bait fish are suspended in the 25' range. Inside to Picton Bay we heard of some earlier action in front of the cement plant. Good luck, I will be heading back next year with better results hopefully.

Any recent reports? Was planning on heading out Tuesday but wondering if things have picked up from earlier in the month. Any info would be appreciated.

Launched out of Picton Bay on Sunday Morning 12/4. Fished from 8 till 3. Went 5-6 on the eyes. Two about 5-6 pounds Two about 7-8 pounds & One 11 1/2 Pounder. White Prizm Matuzo Deep Divers. Every hit came on those 2 lures. We tried about 25 other lures without a hit. Fished with Todd Frank he went 3-4. He tried about 50 lures and all 4 hits were on different lures. Fish seemed very picky. Some AM snow followed by PM sun. A cold but fun day. There was some slush at the launch ramp, but there were about 12-15 boats that had launhed there. Good final trip of the year. Hopefully spring comes quick.

Team Snagger-you fished with a great guide! The first time I fished Quinte that is who I fished with and made a friend for life. Great that you caught fish-there is a Canadian website that gives quite a bit of info on Quinte, and there is very little being said good about the fishery this fall. Everything changes.......

I live just down the road from Todd. I know him before he got in the walleye business. He is good at what he does and I was glad we could follow him up to Quinte. We got some funny looks espicially at the border with 2 boats covered with snow. We fihsed within eyesight most of the day and would relay info back and forth on the radio. Todd said it was actually kind of slow, but each boat caught fish and we had fun. That is what really mattters. I would like to try it again next fall a little earlier hopefully without snow.
