Good weather forecast .....soooooo I plan on driftin da Huron bowl.
Expect the water to be dirty, so I'll be hittin em on da head on the bottom . Any other die hards hittin it this wknd ?

I'm shooting for Sun. but I'll be about 100 miles from Erie. I imagine the launch I'll be using is iced in today, but the south wind & 40 deg. temp.'s should make it fishable then. Possible rain won't hurt if it's not too heavy. Like always this time of year, have to wait & see.

I plan on being out in the afternoon and night on Saturday. We will be having the Shootout if there is enough interest. Cranberry is closed this weekend but we can still do the weigh in there. Brian good luck on Monday. Speaking of deer hunting I was lucky enough to have a buddy I work with give me 3 damage permits. I filled 2 of them on Thursday in that windy, snowy crap. Man did the deer move fabulously. I saw 13-15 deer from my stand, and about another 6-8 when we drove down to load the ones up I killed. That gives me 4 bow kills so far this year, and I got 1 more damage permit to fill. Hopefully that will be taken care of on Saturday evening. BUST A BIGGIN' Bud.

Hey Kevin thanks-way to go on the kills. Ive only been out with the bow once and it was a bust. I got my first buck out of the way last year so now I can wait on the big boy- then again the county Im hunting you can take 3 deer so we'll see. Im hunting about 200 acres of very private land so even in mid gun season the deer arent spooked much there and the place is loaded.

The bite was non existent up until 10PM when most of us quit emptyhanded. There were a few boats that stayed out. Hopefully it turned on for them.
