Just read the great replies to the "storing harnesses" post and wondered if anyone had any good ideas to share on the storage of bouncers as well. Always looking for a better way, so would like to hear any input. There seems to be a lot of creative fisherman out there, what a great resource for us all.. I've been thinking of trying to use light gauge PVC and end caps as storage containers. Good and water tight and can be easily labeled and stored. Just set up a different tube for each weight or group as wanted. Any other suggestions???

I keep my dottom bouncers & drop weights in a water proff 30 or 60 cal mil amo-box.

In another box I store them 2" pipe wraps & spinners, 3-way's, cut to fit inside zip locks. I write length's & line wt. ect on the bags for referance.

I also pre-tie lots of cat leaders in this maner also to save time on the water.

The amo case's store well in most boat lockers

I use a bottom bouncer "roll up" I got at Dakota mart. It has about 6 pouches that hold the bouncers. You then fold over the top, roll it up, and tie it. It sorta looks like the ol' carpenter nail pouch you tie around your waist. It's durable and cheap.

Try a nail apron from Menards or some other lumber store, sew it to make about 4 or 5 pouches instead of two. Hook the short arm snat to the long arm to make it more compact, put different size bouncers in each pouch, roll up and wrap the apron ties around it and tie them. Works for me.

I store mine in an empty Metamucil container. Screw on lid is nice. Have one for each weight size. Beav

I get plastic cases from work that weld rods come in. They are octagon shape so no rolling around. They are about 14" long and about 4" across. One end is a permanant seal and other has removable cap.

Tupperware or a resonable imitation.

I know this doesn't solve the problem for bouncers with integral weights, but I use wires with slide-on weights (Cabela's). The wires go in the bottom of the tackle box easily and I put the weights inside the tackle buddies that I wrap the harnesses on. The whole thing stores very easily that way.

Plano 3600 Box. Fits in your tackle bag with the other boxes.

See you on the water

I use light gauge PVC tubing with one cap glued on - and the other cap pressed on - it works great.
I have several - each with different weights.

I also have a fair number or rocker bottom bouncers -- i.e. they are L - shaped bouncers. I also store these in light PVC pipes.
However, I took a hack saw and sawed a slot in one side of the pvc pipe. This allows me to drop the weight and wire into the pvc pipe - then let the L extend out the side. This works very well and I simply drop the pipe into a side storage pocket.

I make the slot long enough - so that after putting all of the bouncers in the tube - I have enough pipe length left to be able to cap.

Take care
