Two boats went out of Catawba Sunday and fish for Walleyes. The water was muddy with visibility around 4". We fish South of Green, West of the pass, between Green and Rattle Snake, and finally went east of South Bass north of Starve (water visibility about 8"). Fish from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM and never even had a bite. Talk to several other boats and no fish either. The cold front Friday and the wind Saturday done us in. The fish were there but they had lock jaw. Mark a ton of fish. We'll be back out this coming weekend weather permitting.

Thanks Rick for the reports. Good day or bad day, the info helps a ton.

This time of year, do you fish on the bottom or off the bottom? Sometimes I see marks 10 to 20 feet off the bottom, are these walleyes and are they biters?

We marked alot of fish 2 - 4' off the bottom on Sunday, though most were just 1' or so. Fished basically the exact same hours and we had two boats in our group as well - 0 bites.
