Who'da thunk it? Fishing off Lorain in the little boat. Sunny skies, 45 degree temps, and perch. No biggies, the biggest being 10", but perch. We cruised around looking for bigger fish and ended up where we started, the lighthouse.

Stopped at Erie Outfitters for minnows and a fishing report. Got both and launched at Hot Waters. Got fish as soon as the hook hit the bottom. Ended up throwing back as many as we kept, but enjoyed the day thoroughly.

According to the weather person, the next ten days, starting Sat are supposed to be cold. I knew that it would come, I put my ice fishing gear away Sunday.

The wate was a nice green and COLD. No idea of temp, just COLD.
We marked more fish in the outflow of the river than out on the lake.

Frank, thanks for the heads up. Decided to go after your report and had a ball. We fished just off the East end of the North wall on Friday and pulled perch all day long.We ended up with a real nice grade. Caught some waterdogs and sheep too!
A great way to break up the mid-winter iceless blues.
These fish were very aggressive and had excellent color.I think they may be a little confused on what time of year it is!
