Early spring are there better spots where walleye show up or bite first.I know sometimes by Peche island the sturgeon hole seems to be very early hot spot.Down river trenton channel is where i go.Maybe the water intake by Fighting.Any other spots.

Also is the limit now 6 fish & what is the length,i know Canadian side no minimum what is the US side,still 15".

Lots of rain & 60's should be good to go next week.Only think ice now.

I asked someone this question earlier.
Is Peche Isle. Easily accesible from Detroit? This sounds like a good spot to try.

Limit is 5 fish 15" US side

Canada is 6 fish no size limit

Peche Island is at the far north end of the river, and there are not many launch sites within 10 miles of that. Lots of running to get there from Wyandotte or Ecorse launches.

JUST A REMINDER!!!!! There is a 4 fish limit from March 31 until April 30 on the Canadian side. no size limit

2006 regs for lsc, det river and erie. 6 fish limit in ontario for the whole year execpt erie.
