The docks just went in this Sat. @ the Tawas DNR Launch. I will probably do my first trip Monday or Tuesday out of Augres. There have been a quite a few boats around Augres, and Tawas Bay. Love this time of yr. Ya neva know what may be on the end of your line.

If you are fishing down in the bottom of the bay, the first place those post spawners show up is off Finn rd. They will be way up shallow between the first and second sandbar chasing bait. If fact at times you will not be able to get your boat as shallow as the fish. Trim up motor, use electric to get in as far as you can. You can cast cranks, pitch jigs or if the wind is off shore drift after pitching a crawler on a floater with a splitshot 2 feet above it. The early fish are big post spawn females.
