Hey fellas, Im leaving tomorrow night for Port Clinton and was wondering if anyone could give me a up to date report on the trolling bite?? Is the water real dirty? are they going at all on the hard baits? My father and I have a long drive from Minnesota so any info would shure help!! I'll post a report when I return on easter sunday. Thanks and good fishin.

If the weather cooperates you may hit this just right. Things were looking good last Friday - then we had a big blow on Sat and trollign bite was tough for most on Sunday but the fish are stacked and ready to go with some stable weather north of the reef complex and a few more degrees of warmup which we are getting this week should make things fire up. Reef Runners from 25 to 50 feet back and Ripsticks from 30-100 back will be my plan of attack. There was one report from Hiwaydon about 4 big fish North of Kelleys Island from Sunday as well. Bring cameras and BIG COOLERS.

Hope to see you out there, I will be on the water for the same days. If we get there early enough on Wednesday, gonna get an afternoon troll in before dark.

I will be monitoring channel 79, so drop me a holler if you figure out the program.

Water was pretty stained around the reefs today. A lot of nets going in the water from the drifters. Looked like most were nice eaters.

We did real well before the blow on sat. around the c-can area. Reef runners 30-40 back in eriedescent and blue hawaian and deep husky jerks in glass purple perch 20-40 back were the best for us. Trolling speeds were 1.2-1.5 on the gps.
