Got on the water early (5 am) putting in at Godfrey Point, already over a dozen trailers in the lot. Trolled the 16/35' breakline east, pulling Kaboom and Renoskys in blk/silver-caught 3 by 8am and then the bite died. Trolled through the pack of boats jigging on the N/E side of the lake, didn't get another bite til midafternoon when I started marking fish on the bottom in 40 fow-dropped the suspended plan and put a 4 oz snap wgt on the Renosky line and changed the Kaboom from a deep diver to shallow runner in purple prism, along with a 5oz snap weight-dropping them both to the bottom alongside the boat, and trolled up 5 more eyes and 1-12" perch. The largest was 22" and the smallest was 17". Monday I got a little later start(6am) and pulled 1-22" eye at the breakline and caught my second at 12:30 running the bottom with 1 line and suspended with the other. As I was bringing in the fish-a pleasure boater ran over my planer board (about 80' from the boat)rapped the fireline around his prop-spooled me and snapped my planer board rod 2' down from the tip! That ended my day on a high note-headed in and left for home (4 hour trip).

Walt.. From my past few experiences on Oneida I'd say you did pretty well! As for your equipment loss.. that's a bummer! As I said earlier, we were planning on coming up for a day.. but.. between the predicted hot weather and the Holiday weekend, I figured it would be a madhouse out there! I hate crowds! I can't wait to get out to the eastern end of Erie where all you have to worry about is bumping into Gilligan once in a while! Good Fishing, Sluggo (Chris)

Sluggo, just stay behind Gilligan and let him clear the sheepshead out of your way. LOL

Chris...
If Eyeduktr is in the boat with me the catching of sheepshead is at record levels so be sure to check if Pete is along before attempting to fish behind me!
