Greg, Acton has been pretty good 38-40ft. Jets seem to be the ticket with meat or stingers. If going out of Ashtabula you might want to ask about the Kingston area. I'm going out of Connie Thurs/Fri and plan on heading that way.
Monitor ch 14 Give me a yell.

Went out of Conny on Sunday just a little east of the lighthouse and found a good school of fish in 47' we used 4 rods w/ divers 9' leader and watermelon copper harnesses outside lines had the big diver set on 3.5 sent back 70'. On the inside rods we used the smaller dipsies set back 250' set on 2 no problem with the junk fish once we picked the speed up to 2.3-2.5 mph. 2 limits in less than 2 hours all 20-21"
thanks for the info fellas, I appreciate it. we are staying at a campground in conny. give me a yell on 14 if you want.

Myself and two friends headed up to 'bula early wednesday morning. First lines in about 6:30am. 3 man limit by 9:15. All fish out of the 2003 year class, 17-21 inches long. Everything we used caught fish, 30 jets, 40 jets, large dipseys, and a wire line Kaboom. Crawler harnesses and Stingers caught the most fish. We got done so early, we picked of shiners. We ended with 88 keeper perch. Off the water by 1pm, before the storms hit. Theres a big school east of 'bula, between Conneaut, in 48-52ft of water. All the charters are out there. the depth of the perch was 48ft just north of the lighthouse.

There was hooked that was about 5 pounds, but the rookie on the net lost it for us! The only way yesterday would have been any better would have been with some bigger fish. I feel once they go deeper, more of the big ones will be caught. At least out there we will have the steelies to give us a fight.

Another limit on Friday early ( 8:30am) Headed back to get minnows for some perching as it was such a nice morning.
All Eyes 17-19inch. Still inside off of Kingsville in the 30-40ft range. Didn't need to put out boards Friday. All fish off big dipsy 75ft back 3.5 setting. They loved copper harnesses with meat.
