I was out sun for about and hour and a half using my poor-mans downriggers. 1 coho and 1 stealy both on spoons. Then tried for perch around inland with only 10 small ones. Heard they got jumbos downtown. Vetspet, I have a 2-1/2 yr old lab, He is always going # 1 in the house even when I leave him in the pen.I think it is a dominant thing, because of my other dog (golden ret.)I have no troubles with the golden going in house. If I get the lab fixed do you think it will keep him from going inside.

assuming there is not a medical problem....you may let your vet do a urinalysis to be sure everything is ok...neutering would then be the thing i'd recommend you do if urine is ok.....neutering is not a guarantee as dogs sometimes get into the "habit" of urinating in the home...my brothers cat kept urinating on everything...i told him to neuter the cat....he finally did...(i said the wrong thing to him at the time...that neutering would help...his buddy told him what i shoulda..."he would never sell his home because of the smell!!...that made him decide to neuter this cat....didnt work...probably because he let it go for so long...never really know why they pee in the home but sex is one of the reasons...i would definitely recommend neutering him as the easiest fix...if that doesnt work...and yu checked his urine for problems and it was ok,,,i'd then tell you to get a large cage and keep him in it (if the total time when your gone is less than 8 hrs...over 8 hrs and he may hold his urine too long and irritate his bladder and then he may develop an infection....so there are a lot of complicating factors that all may play a role in getting this problem to go away...steve

Steve, sorry to hear you are still missing fish. We just can't seem to not catch fish over here. Quit picking on the kid!

Steve,
the walleye are still biting on Erie. We even got a few steelhead a couple of weeks ago. :)

I attended two years ago but didn't make it last year. I'm still tentative about this years event. The fishing should be excellent that time of year. I'll tell ya, if I do go, you're welcome to hookup with me and fish.
