Hi,

I plan on going to Thunder Bay near Alphena this weekend. I have never been there before. Any information would be great.

Thanks in advance

I don't have any current info for you but try michigan-sportsman.com, "Warmwater Fishing Otherlakes" forum. There are some locals that frequent that site that may help you out. I know last year at this time they did good during the day on gold spinners around the reefs and drops. Try to imitate a goby because that has been the eyes main forage as the alewives have dropped in TB. Keep your boards way out from the boat, stay away from boat traffic and run an electric motor if you can. If you have some good wave action run at least one high line. The water is very clear and not real deep around the reefs. They also troll the same areas at night usually with better sucess than the daytime. Good luck.
