Sorry vetspet, I could not let you continue to go out to the ditch and come home empty handed. Hit the big lake about 6AM and found a few small perch in front of the ditch. Marker 2 and the donut were dead but drifted just east of the donut into about 28' of water and probably caught 100 perch but of course kept our limit of 45 for 3 guys. Great day on the water but a bit choppy for a 16' boat. Gonna hit an inland lake tomorrow AM for gills.

were the perch small?....i was on the lake at 4:30 am....went deep..to state line...only fished one hour(thats dedication)...had a vet meeting at 8:30 in chesterton for the entire day so i had to hustle out there...got one nice coho...started really kickin out deep with that strong south wind...white caps...i was in my little boat so we boogied...had four nice fish from previous trip so i provided salmon for my purdue buds...made the meeting with time to spare for doughnuts and cava....i think whitey was catchin fish by the big red markers in 37 fow...but he would not tell you if he was...steve
