We are planning an early trip in middle of April. Can anyone tell me when Oahe normally opens up around Mobridge area?

The river system is usually open by the end of march it may be a week late or two with the colder winter. I've found that the best fishing always starts the week before easter.

"always" the "week before Easter."??? Some years Easter is in March, other years well into April. Can you give a date when action picks up?
I doubt that the walleyes know when Easter falls.

Yaggie,
Was on Oahe yesterday. Still 32-35 inches of ice. We might not see ice out til mid-April.
