3 guys, 18 eyes. Spoons pulled behind jet 20's with 100' leads pounded them. Spoon colors were Happy Hooker, Coyote, and Kevorkian Parrot. Tried up North of the island but the salad was too thick, went back to the southwest side of the island about 1.5 miles west and marked fish in the stained water, They were hungry. 2.2-2.4 for speed.

I trolled about 2 miles NE of W Sister and took limits from 4 to 6 last evening. The hot bait was Flo Tangerine and Copper Melon Spoons off Jet 20's. No weeds in site last night to speak of. Now Sat around Stoney PT the weeds were thick and really peaving me off.

Fished North NE of West Sister Friday and Sunday. Fast bite. Sunday was the only day we saw any type of weeds, and they were on top. Not much trouble from them at all. Now, the flies...that's another story.
The water was very clean 2 miles north of West Sister, even after the big blow on Sat.

I finally made it out on Sunday. Working 6 days of week makes it hard to fish on Sunday. We went out to A can and caught 2, very slow. Then we went about 3 miles north west sister and caught 18 more. Very slow again. It took us all day to get 3 tickets + 2 fish. Took nephew and he caught a 24", first time on lake and did a very good job. He helped stear the boat with a big smile. Future fisherman no doubt. Has anybody hear about this years spawn? Let me know when you do.
Sorry about your trip ere rebel. I don't care to go out with high waves and people chumming.
Later.

I forgot to mention I have been pulling the big spoons, all with Gold backs. They get much fewer junk fish, but when you do pop a junker it's been a BIG junker! Reb, I had to work Saturday night due to customer increases. Sorry I missed you. We have to hook up soon, the August slowdown is right around the corner you know. Crusher, did you take Captain schooling 2 years ago with me??
