went everywhere today and limped home with 16 small perch....we tried the mouth early (actually early on i got locked out of home...wife is away visitin pop...so i'm a bachelor for the week..so i go to my daughter and she left her key ring with our home key at church last nite!...it got better...we wait until the school opens and the keys arent there...she tells me the principal probably has them..she did..so i got to the lake late!)...as early as we could make it...we fished the mouth w/o much success...went all the way around the doughnut and drifted out a way w/o much luck...went 1 mile west of doughnut at the blow out...w/o much luck ..went to my secret holes off dune acres w/o much luck...went back to the mouth and caught a few in deep water..even a couple nice ones...46-48fow....that was it ...we got off before the tornado came...an airplane saw one and i heard one may have hit ogden dunes...steve...i still had fun no matter what footdoc thinks as he trims them old lady's toenails...
sorry to hear about all your troubles vetspet, but glad to hear you made it in before the tornados hit. when i used to fish out of the ditch, we would go to the rocks around the port of indiana. doesnt anybody fish there anymore. pepe...

Thanks for the update. I'm trying to get out Sat a.m. Sounds like things are slowing down a little. I'll let you know if I get out.

i fish the rocks in april/may when the big perch are in there...this yr they just never were there with all the north winds...sorta like the steelhead this yr...i'm still thinkin a bunch are still out there waitin to come in...i havent seen a single steelhead caught in close this yr...never have seen this in the past...this was also the first time i've not caught the perch on the rocks in may/april...probably just coincidence....perch have also been the best i've ever seen in the shallows...have been catching real nice perch for 6 wks now...usually all i catch in late july and aug are small perch...i'd fish the rocks if i wanted gobies....maybe lou wants them...they would be better than the sum total i saw him catch at potato creek!!.....i plan to fish before church on sunday...probably for perch...steve..check out that bass pro going up next to my home...the cost of spays is goin up...

Hey Lou. Just talked to Pepe and he told me you guys are leaving for Erie on Monday. Good luck. Hope your boat stays afloat this time. Vespet, I'll bet Lou and Pepe didn't tell you that story.

does it have anything to do with transducer mounting holes?....i know everything about pepe after spending the day fishin with lou...i can quote you all kinds of stuff, but dont want to embarrass pepe before he heads off to erie....lou gave me the lowdown...and i'm thinkin about making a book about it unless pepe gives me 1/2 his walleye catch next week...steve
all i can say to you two is," the wolf does not fear the cries of the coyote". im ashamed of you two picking on two distinguished senior citzens. i guess we will have to teach you how to have respect. as for giving you half of the walleye i catch next week, ill give you the half thats left after i remove the fillets. lol pepe...
