Going to head out to the big pond this weekend for some eyes, thinking of either Geneva or Lorain any suggestions or comments would be appreciated

3 days NE blow has the lake messed up. Even 10 miles out (of Lorain). The fishing will not be as good as it has been for a couple days. Actually the closest launch to where they were is Vermilion.

I would pick Lorain or Vermillion. Actually with south and southeast winds forecast the lake could clear up quickly from the northeast blows. You can catch anything, if you don't go. I'll probably start 9-10 miles north of Vermillion tomorrow, and go from there. Good luck.

Caught eight on Saturday at the 38/39-26 line. Sixteen miles off Vermillion. The water was still stained out there. Four came on spoons and four on crankbaits....all the 2003 hatch. Big dipsy back 85-90 on 3 setting, and Reef Runners back 120 with 2 oz of lead.
