Lots of fish between Wildwood and Gordon park. Start looking at 38-39 fow and deeper. The bait at Wildwood marina sucks. I paid 8 bucks for a bucket of pin minnows around an inch-inch and a half long. Better off with fathead chubs, (crappie minnows), from inland shops. That's what I usually use, but the shop was closed. The "Erie perch don't bite on crappie minnows" thing is a myth.

Shines ( East 55th) had fantastic Shiners on Sun and Monday.

Blame the full moon, not the bait shop. Tough to find good shiners with a full moon. At least they was able to supply you with something. I too am not fond of using pinheads or fatheads. I would rather go lookin for some eyes rather then use them. There is alway's an option and you choose yours.

Thx for the full moon info, gunrac. Although not quite as bad, the bait at Shine's kinda sucked too when I went there Tuesday, in spite of their previous assurances over the phone that their bait was better than Wildwoods. The emeralds generally haven't been much bigger than fatheads, with many, if not most being smaller. And of course, the fatheads are much more durable. Like I mentioned, I normally don't fool with emeralds, but the inland store I usually go to for fatheads must be on vacation or something.
