Does anyone have any sugestions on how to clean up rusty jigs. Have some never used but they got wet and rusted THANKS

Starting to clean out the ole box, eh? ;-)

There was a thread about this a few weeks back. I think the concesus was to toss the bad ones and coat the rest with WD-40. The sharpness is greatly effected and those that you keep need to be re-sharpened before use.

You can prevent this from happening again in the future by spraying them occassionally with the WD-40 (or similar) and again especially before storage in the fall. You can also add the silica pouches that help keep electronics dry. These wick moisture from the air in the container, your tackle box in this case. You can get them at most packaging stores like Mail Boxes Etc.

if they have been rusted fro very long i would pitch them. Any time you have rust you loose the strength of the metal. normally i dont use anything thats rust. could be the end of a great day when you loose that lunker.
