Made the drive from Fostoria to Huron today in the fog to do some walleye fishing. Man was it worth it! Didn't start fishing until 10:15 and had our limit by 1. We caught 1 30", 2 28", 2 27", 2 25" and the rest were between 19" and 21". It was a day that my Dad and myself will truely never forget. My 68 year old father caught the biggest walleye of his life, a 30 incher. We found a school of fish
just out from Cranberry creek in 26 feet of water. Trolled 2 flat lines and 2 inline boards with both reefrunners and deep husky jerks. Chrome and blue, Rainbow trout and white(pearl) glass minnow were the best colors. We ran the baits between 15 and 20 feet deep and kept our speed between 1.2 and 1.6 mph. Looks like the next couple of days should be good weatherwise so any body looking to catch the walleye of their life should give it a try.
