Just wondering if how the walleyes have been biting on the bay. Would like to get out one last time this weekend coming. Thanks in advance.

Fished Brest Bay the last two weekends. Fishing has been excellent with the bigger fish being present both trips. 18" to 28" fish with a couple that broke the 17# mono just short of the boat.
Smithwick Super Rouges - blue / silver / orange; and blue /silver reef runners from 80 to 120 feet back in 14 to 19 feet of water. GPS speed 1.6 to 2.1
Three docks were still in at Sterling and for the first time in several years we didn't bottom the Lund on the way out the channel.
Good Luck!

I think a buddy and I might give it a try. Did you mean reef runners or rip sticks back 85 to 120? Thanks.

Probably Ripsticks, but I could be wrong :P . Nice to hear some fish are being caught there .
i picked up a limit this morning fishing along the 15 ft depth from the beach and around till about halfway to the point. i got 3 on that troll and went a little deeper, 18' to finish my limit. all fish were on Orange/Chart/Green Prism and metalic pink scale deep little rippers 45-50 feet back. 1.6-2.0 gps. the reef runners in "bob's" post were most likley ripsticks. i had no takers on my shallow baits today.
when we lose the 2nd. amendment the others will be history too!

Hey there...sorry, meant rip sticks but typed reef runners...
Was the water churned up from the run off down the river or was it still pretty clear today?

With this north northeast blow today (Thurs) it looks like fishing the bay may be out of the question. Hopefully, it will lay down and clear water won't be to far behind. Thanks for the replies, hopefully later next will be gooder.

How's the water? The cam looks like the waves will be tolerable, but did the water muddy up with the blow over the last couple of days?
Would hate to waste a three hour trip to find it unfishable.
Thanks for any help.....Bob

Hey Walleye,
I too am heading out in the morning. What depth did you start at last time you were out? Did you try any spoons last time you were out? I was thinking to start out in about 8-10 fow. I have been doing very well earlier in the year a little deeper off Stony. I will also be on 68 if you get out and find whats working give me a buzz and I will do the same.
tight lines,
Captain Hook
