I copied this post from the OGF website. They say the nets are being removed on Wed.

The Division of Wildlife will be setting two nets off Point Retreat and Sawmill Creek tonight (11-21-2006) as part of an ongoing walleye assessment program. These nets are 2600 feet in length, and will be set between 15' and 25' of water. We do not have GPS co-ordinates at this time. Nets are generally set perpendicular to the shoreline, so please use caution if traveling through this area. A large staff with a black flag is located on each end of the net, and orange or white kegs are located each 50' between the staffs. The net itself is suspended ~6' below the surface, but circumstances often occur that places the net nearer to the surface. If you encounter the net, please do not approach it. If you have any questions, please contact the fisheries biologists at the Sandusky Fisheries Research Station at #419-625-8062. The nets will be removed tomorrow.
Thanks for your cooperation, and good fishing.
Eric Weimer
PS. If you have trouble with the nets tonight, contact the Division of Watercraft at #419-621-1402.
