Something more important than where to go is making sure you have ALL of your safty equiptment in working order. ODNR are really cgecking!

I have a Coast Guard member coming to my house today to do a safety inspection on my boat and get the certification sticker. I Thought it would be a good idea and the inspector here has made it so easy by coming to my house. Getting ready for Erie in WI is easy when you can do it in a heated garage. Don't be surprised if DNR checks you anyway, even if you have a coast guard sticker.

the DNR could care less about a USCG instepction sticker.

The inspection is for your safety, not to keep the DNR away.

And just remember this also: the inspection whether or not you already have a USCG sticker is also a way or probable cause to check your fish limits !! Just a way to keep people honest with their catch limits..
