Just got back a couple days ago. Bite was slow; of course the 26 degree high for the day didn't help. Neither did the snowfall of about a foot. We did manage to scrape up a few keepers in the mix, but overall pretty slow. Talking to the DNR up there, all the boats they monitored that day had the same luck we did, or even worse. Reports of a few big fish were floating around, and one of the officers did a ride-along with a boater and was witness to back-to-back 30 inchers. They expect the bite to really turn up when the weather warms a bit. Clementson was still locked up tight, as was Frontier, and where we landed at Birchdale Monday it was decent at best. Some guys had to push across ice, some didn't. We drove right in and drove right out. The Little Fork and Big Fork rivers had not flooded out yet, and by the looks of it might not be an issue this year. Might be too early to tell. Just thought I'd let you guys know...
