Its that time of year agian!!! Checked out the sale at my local Kmart and what did I find? CLEARENCE SALE!!! Roland Martin Big Bass spinnerbait kits (the ones the don't make anymore) $4, lindy bottom bouncers 50cents, mister twiter tales 20 ct pack $1, I loaded up and still didn't spend over $40!!! Had to buy a new tackle box while I was there (last years missing the dividers $5) Check in the next time and see what yours has to offer, its worth it.

Went to the local Kmart recently and was very disappointed in their selection of fishing equipment and lures. Prior to becoming a Big K store last year, they actually had a pretty good selection of lures. Now, I think the space allocated to fishing lures is about half of what it used to be, and is full of mainly poor quality cheap stuff with little selection of size, color, etc.

We have a local Big k-mart right next to walmart, the other day I strolled through the k-mart fishing isle, and couldn't believe it! There was less than a 1/2 isle of tackle, and 90% of that was bass fishing stuff! I guess thats why I shop walmart more often than kmart.
good fish'in!

I'm not impressed lately with Kmart's fishing department either. Walmart's got my vote. I can always find lots to buy there. Actually, I guess you could say I'm guilty of buying too much fishing stuff there :-)

Same here. Wal Mart has a pretty good selection and Kmart is 1 small isle for ALL fishing equipment (line & tackle boxes take up half of that). We have a Super Target also and they have even less than Kmart. Guess I'll have to make a drive to Cabela's ;-)

BUYING TOO MUCH STUFF ?!?? That's impossible. We all know you can never have too much stuff!!!

Fed up with the poor selection at my local warehouse tackle shop, I visited both the local Wal-Mart and K-Mart. Wow!! Between the two I was able to find and buy a lot of the tackle I thought I'd have to order from Cabela's! And all the good colors weren't picked over either. So now I have more options before settling with mail order. These places don't replace the local tackle shop--they just carry different items.

Well I only posted this to let everybody know that its spring clearnce time at Kmart, and if your store has left overs from last year , this the time to get them. I'm sure with the sad state of Kmart these days not everybody is going to have the selection that Gunga Din and I had. Look for that bin in the middle of the isle, or at the end of the main racks thats where you'll find em

Got a GREAT deal at K-Mart a while back. They marked down a $280 Eagle fishfinder to $140! When I came back next day with the cash there was only 1 left and it was cut in half again to $70! Bought it then asked Wal-Mart to match their price and bought 2 more! Love it when they get these clueless clerks marking prices.

Thanks for the tip. Stopped by Kmart after work and they were stocking their shelves. Found two bins full of clearance items. Since walleye fishing isn't popular here, I got a bunch of rapalas, thundersticks, tot'n tots and reef runners for between 1.99 to 2.99. Also picked hooks, jigs, bobbers, etc. for half price. Thanks.
