SHOWTIME !

The steelhead tournament that we have talked about for the last couple weeks is now officially ON. The date is 06/30/2007 Go to this link http://www.baitdave.com/album1_167.htm for all the rules and downloadable registration forms for your teams. Let's see if we can make this a success this year. Based on how this tournament plays out, we may turn this into a possible derby in the future similar to others run on the Great Lakes. Once on the site and you have a chance to look everything over, if you have any questions give Dave a call at 440.963.0088

Hope to see all the offshore regulars at the weigh-in for a cold one.

Hopefully once this tourney is over, I can get you, Freebyrd, and Marcbodi on my boat for a day of steelie fishing before you guys head over to Wheatley. It would be a good time with plenty of room onboard for everyone. Do you plan on docking at Spitzer Lakeside at all this year ??

Ray, I pulled into Spitzer last weekend. I am in the G dock down from Moses/Noah's Ark. Would love to fish with you, Freebyrd and Marc. I'll be out Saturday and Sunday hunting for the bullets. Probably will start at the 00 line, and look from there.

You should give Claudia at Spitzer Lakeside a call and ask her if you can move to D dock where I am. There are some open docks, and a much shortet walk from the parking lot. Worth a try.

Thank you for the help with organizing this for the anglers Ray.
Also thanks to FreeBirdSteve & Lundy for rule input.
LEWT for the help with the scale and leader board :)

This should be a good one. Anglers that have been coming in to the shop seem pretty serious over this tournament. They are definatley playin' for keeps.

Other anglers,, there are 2 tournaments that same day. One a Steelhead as originally mentioned by Ray and a walleye tournament as well. You can enter one event or both. If you are local and would like to hit the weigh in at the Vermilion Country Club about 330 on the 30th.

The walleye tournament weigh-in will start at 4 pm(Check-in 330pm) est and the Steelhead at 5pm with a 4:30 check-in..

This should be very interesting and fun...
Here are the results from our 1st eye Tournament of this season DBT IV,,please note that 42.3 lbs for 5 fish won it!(Might take a minute for the pics to load, well worth waiting for..Link

Just a reminder.

The tourney is set to go in three days and the weather looks to be cooperating. Steelies have been caught in a wide area so everyone has a chance to win this thing. We've talked about this type of tourney on the water for the last couple years, so come on out to help support it. See you at the weigh in. Any questions, call Bait Dave at 440.963.0088

The Vermilion Country Club has been kind enough to offer their facility as a weigh-in location for all DBT tournaments. There will be a fish cleaning area, pavilion, and grills provided so you may cook your fish. Also, side dishes and beverages will be available for purchase. Alcohol WILL be allowed to be consumed inside and outside.

ALL ALCOHOL CONSUMED ON THE PREMISES, MUST BE PURCHASED FROM THE PREMISES

THIS IS THE STATE LAW & WOULD BE GROUNDS FOR IMMEDIATE REMOVAL FROM THE PREMISES AND DISQUALIFICATION

LOL.....

No, Mr. Tolliver is in the running and has been fishin' it hard, he has a bead on the Bullets, he stops in the shop with a smile ear to ear. The fella that called said he taught you all you know and seems you need another lesson! Maybe you should just stay at the shop and help me this Saturday. I'll let cha' pack worms, use the radio to chat with the boats.

On another note:
I dropped the registration on this thread to help guys out and try to cut down on the calls at the shop.

The phone calls are getting overwhelming, there are anglers from other states that are pre-fishing..NOW.

Never seen such freakin' serious anglers about a tournament.
These dudes aren't even crackin' a smile.

Tite lines,,,
Nice knowing you Ray & once again, thanks for your help....I think!
LUNDY and DOUBLE EAGLE are sleepers in this one...

TO ALL: PLEASE WAIT TILL FRIDAY BEFORE PRE-REGISTERING OR WAIT TILL SAT. A.M.--THANK YOU. CASH ONLY,,,READ THE RULES AND REISTRATION.

There is only one guy who can claim that he taught me everything about trolling. I don't think he is in the tourney due to a charter that day. If his name is not John, then he's blowing smoke. Should be an interesting weigh in to say the least.
