I cannot seam to post anything that has more then one sentance. Am I being restricted or is the system server being finicky?

Hi AquaMan, no restrictions are in place. I'm not sure why you cannot post more than one sentence. I'm going to keep on typing for a little while to see if that happens to me. Unless something corrupted in the script you should be able to enter as many sentences as you want.
I wouldn't do that to ya buddy.
Scott
Just a thought....
Try writing your post in Word and cut/paste your message into the post, then quickly update.

Man, this is frustrating. It's gotta be something on this end. The connection keeps timing out. We have a DSL line and a T1 with 3GB connection. Neither one will allow me to post a longer text message, yet I can do posts like this. Hmmmm! Darn internet anyway.

Aqua man.
Just post that "Princecraft is better than Lund"...NO problem getting more than one sentence on that subject.
In fact, you can post the same things over and over and over, with no problem.

A T1 is 1.54 Mbps. If you do in fact have 3 Gbps, your bandwidth might be restircted by your company (you must work for a large one), or you may have a good, high-speed connection to your ISP, at which point the line degrades. Run a traceroute and it will tell you the link speed between hops. Slow responce can be caused by one slow link in the many hops it takes to get from your desktop to the WC server.
Go to a command prompt and enter: C:\tracert www.walleyecentral.com. I've got 20 hops with ample bandwidth between each one.

Typed your string in and from a C: Prompt I get> Bad command or file name.
We sell computer equipment online and require highspeed connections for live sales and auctions.

OK, the post I have been trying to do since last night just worked. I did it on my office system using the old dialup modem via AOL of all things. There is something wrong with the Quest line.
Thanks for the help.

Hmm, it's usually included when TCP/IP is installed. Are you running IP? Sometimes IP isn't required at the desktop, as the protocol is translated at the server level.
Here's a better way, go to www.download.com and search and download neotrace. It's a graphical version of tracert and shows some pretty cool information. Give it a try. If you can't find it, email me and I'll reply with the file attached. I'm Dennis@Climbing-Guides.com.
Happy surfing.
