I just purchase some 265x75x16's, Wrangler ATS's, load range D. They have a cold PSI rating of 65lb.s. Should I run them inflated to 65lb.s, or should I run them lowr. I'll be towing a 20' Lund. Any help would be appreciated.
65 should be fine, thats a heavy tire. Anymore than that ruins the ride.

When I re-tired, the technician at the Goodyear dealer told me, to get the best wear, you should inflate until the edge of the tread face raises slightly from the pavement and them let out air until the edge reconnects with the pavement.(Assuming this is still within the mfgs. specs.) This will give your tread surface total contact with the road. Now keep in mind all vehichles weigh in differently, then this makes more sense than an arbitrary number psi. Also remember the tongue weight of the trailer will add weight to the tow vehichle so unless you want to go through the process each time you trailer you'll have to compromize...Using this method on my 1999 Silverado I end up with a few more psi in the fronts than the backs because of the extra engine weight...Good luck...SkeeterBoy
