saw these at walmart but had never heard of a CL3. They look like a C3 but have a black spool instead of silver. Are these bascially the same reel and has anyone tried one?? thanks for the info because the price is cheaper than the C3's.
The spool is made out of a super plastic, and it just isnt as strong as the metal spool. under normal conditions it may hold up as long as the metal. if you are going to use it for extreme fighting fish , such as musky, salmon and other hard fighting fish, go with the C3, the plastic spool may break or warp under pressure and extreme heat. good luck and good fishin.
