fireline replacement

I have an extra spool for a spinning reel that was spooled with fireline 2 1/2 years ago. It's never been out of the box. Any recommendations ? should it be replaced or should it be O.K. ?

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Never been out of the box?...I'd use it,not being exposed to the elements the line should be fine.Save alittle $ and use it.

It's 30# test, should be a little room for error; havn't caught anything over 20 on that rod yet.

I've been using my 30# test fireline for three seasons already and haven't had any problems with it. i just change my mono leader and i've been good to go. catching a lot of eyes with it. Smitty
