Don't dare ask them for help, they have no use for outsiders infringing their playground.

I take objection with your comment regarding the Walleye's Unlimited group as I ve been a member for over 25 years. We are VERY protective of the information that is learned and worked for with all it's members from all over the Country. I constantly here about all the large fish that hit the cleaning tables, especially at Lake Erie, and I will be the first to tell you is disturbs me to see all those fish being harvested, regardless of what we are told or their reporductivity or any thing else. Yes we have special places and these places would be destroyed or decimated without special consideration. Quint is thankfully protected regarding harvesting large fish with a 1 over slot, or it would be raped of all those large fish. That's my 2 cents worth.

Mike
It was good to get to see you.
I would have to say being an outsider to your group they took me in as well as all shared information about where and when we were getting fish. Hats of to Bill & Scott very nice guys and also to Carl & Curt , Rick.
I had a great time and we did let all our fish go but a very odd 21" & 25" we ate for diner one night.
Thursday the fishing got hot it stayed hot through Friday when we headed home to beat the STORM!
Did you get your boat fixed? :(

Bill and I got back Saturday ahead of the storm. We had a great 8 days of fishing. For me it was my best ever Walleye trip upping my personnal best to 12.11. A a new member of WU I can confirm these guys work had at this sport and do protect this great fishery. Quinte is the best place on the planet to catch a 10 pounder. I only hope and pray everyone who is fortunate enough to fish here protects these fish. We boated over 80 fish most of which were over 8 lbs. We did catch 2 small fish to eat. Remeber C.P.R. catch-photograph-release. I will be very glad to have a stringer mount of replicas. For all the WU guys wew meet, thanks for you help and we enjoyed spending time on the water with you. Hope to see you again next fall on Qunite.

Hey Guys
Very well put Mike. It's obvious that we don't mind sharing information that has taken years to aquire by many members, with fishermen that share our same values. By that I mean fishing men and women that respect all fisheries and practice C&R on trophy lakes. I had one guy (local??) just yelling at me because I released an eleven pounder in front of him. He just didn't get it!
Any way, Bill & John, it was good to share the water with you guy's for the week.

Uncle Paul,
Looking to plan a weeks walleye fishing trip to Quinte next year for the first time. We fish VT and the CT River for smaller eyes.
Looking for information on the best areas and times to fish the bay and if there are quality hydrographic mays /charts of the bay avaiable. I would suspect fall is prime time up there.
Regards
VT Salmon/Sharon VT.

First of all I’m in no way an expert on Quinte but I hope I can answer a few questions for you. Make your reservations today rooms are in a short supply and most people who went this fall already have rooms for next year. Like most places the closer it gets to ice up the better the fishing gets so we plan our trips close to the end of November. As for fishing the Bay It looks like a river that fishes like Erie or any other big open water suspended fish bite, you can jig but most of the guys that time of the year troll. As for the maps Fishing Hot Spots has a set that’s good and there is a basic one on my Lowrance unit. We have plans to be back next year Thanksgiving week if you want keep in touch I have no problem sharing info. A good web site to watch is quintefishing for lots of up to date info.Paul
