As most of you locals there is no way that Trempeleau will be open by the 17th and 18th. We are moving the tourney up the river 30 miles to Alma. I was there today and ther is plenty of open water. Since we are moving the tourney we will just be fishing a tourney on Sunday the 18th of March, Instead of one on Saturday and one on Sunday. That way everyone will be able to prefish this weekend and Saturday the 17th. If you go up to prefish this weekend go out of the North HWY OO landing about 3 miles below the Dam. The ramp above the power plant still has some ice in front of it. I need to know ASAP who is intending to fish this tourney so I can make plans for Launch site and meeting location. Email me at ecklor@hotmail.com. IF YOU DIDN'T ALREADY KNOW THIS IS A QUALIFYING EVENT FOR RCL Lawrence Ecklor

I was just wondering how you know which tournaments are RCL qualifiers since the RCL hasn't released that information, as best as I can tell? I also heard the qualifying format is going to change for this year. Do you have any insight?

Sonny and I had about a thirty minite conversation about three weeks ago. Usfa Team Walleye tourney fisherman will be qualifying for spots again this year for details you will have to hear it from them when the Rules and info come out. Lawrence

Rip Lips the events for last fall are up on www.teamwalleye.net,
Hows life in the Minnesota country treating you. I bet you miss some of the fishing over on the east side of Wisconsin. Its tough to be a walleye fisherman in either State!! You have to stay awake at night deciding which of about a hundred good walleye waters to fish on next. Lawrence

Sorry I missed the format question!! Unless things have changed VERY recently most of the qualifiers will come from the RCls own qualifying tourneys which we have all heard a lot about already. As I remember about 60 spots will be left in the field to be filled by organizations that helped things get started last year by qualify and sending competitors. Don't hold me to the exact details I'M JUST A POOR "MOUNTAN MAN" waiting for the final everything just like everybody else. Lawrence
