went fishing for a few hours in mouth of ditch sunday...too much ice to troll and too windy so we fished a few passes and left without a bite...several others were skunked earlier that i know of...one boat said they got fish, i think in front of the large iceberg sitting just south of the mouth of the ditch in front of ogden dunes...but i'm not sure thats where they said they got fish(lots of small, 2-8ft pieces of ice in the immediate vicinity of the large berg, so i dont know how they could fish the area well unless they were casting)...steve..and i never saw a fish

Thanks for the report. With the rain and warmer temps. hopefully all this snow and ice will be gone soon and the fish gods will reward us for having to deal with it the past few months...Keep us informed..Thanks

Once again Stevie, thanks for the report. Had to walk about 300 yards across some very slippery ice tonight. Was worth it as 37 gills met the fillet table. Some of the gills tonight were absolutely king kong gills. Kinda hate to see the ice thin. Let us know when it is time to play on the big pond.

Similar results here. Went out for maybe an hour, hadn't run the boat since summer, kicker & main engine are ready to go! Went down to the mouth of the ditch & trolled back up. Spoke to one boat who said they caught one fish by the donut & had another hit but lost it. My main concern was burning the cobwebs out of the engines. Better days are coming SOON!
