Got into town Thursday about 2:00pm Wind was blowing ut we went fishing anyway. Decided to drift. Ended up on the edge of kellys island shoal pulling 18 Big Ones. All on bouncers tight to bottom weapons were dead. We had fish from 3 to 9 lbs. mostly 4 or better.
Decided to Bass fish First half of day Saturday off the S/W Corner of Kelly's Thanks to the guys from Cicinatti that gave us all those shiners. Caught some nice Smallies. Got one that went 6# released them all and will have replica made. Firday afternoon went Walleye fishing and was a mud pit by the shoal. Only ended up with 4.
Saturday was a tough morning to get the fish going. Ran all over. Heard of a bite West of Middle island, but the time we ran up there I watched 80 boats catch nothing. Ran back to the shoal edge and caught nothing. decided to drift across the shoal for Bass. One of our guys puts a weapon on for eyes and he nails 2 right away. We stayed there and I believe before dark we ended up with 19 total.
We put in the time and reaped the benifits, i blieve the trollers did pretty well Saturday by the sounds of the radio reports.
We'll be back up next Saturday for a week
