Heading out to Ft Thompson nest week for a few days of fishing. Its my first time on the Missouri and would appreciate and info on techniques or locations.
I'll have grandma and grandpa in the boat and am wanting to get them onto some fish.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks REELMAN
Thats what I was hoping for - was not looking forward to a spiderweb of planer boards and cranks.

Was just up there this weekend fishing, best luck with bouncer, red hook, with a few beads using minnows, or leeches later in the day. Crawlers didn't do much, lots of small fish, so you get to sort. Quite a few smallies from 15 to 17 all in the protected slot but a lot of fun to catch, photo and send back. The last week was rainy, windy, and stormy most all week and kind of sounds like a chance for that all this week too. Caught fish anywhere from 5 to 35 FOW, keep searching and fishing and Good Luck and have fun.

Going up late this week. Hope the weather cooperates to allow us to get out on Sharpe. On a down note, I've heard reports of lots of vehicles being broken into that park near Big Bend, maybe it's called Blackbird, haven't been there in a while. Anyone else hear of this?

You could try putting in at Iron Nation (I believe). This is an Indian ramp so you have to buy a sticker to use it. Not really sure what it costs but it may be worth it if you have to run too far up the river. I don't want to sound racist or anything like that but do remember this is an Indian run ramp so be careful. I have heard some stories.
