Has anyone been out to the Algoma area this week? I heard the temperatures are a bit colder and wondering on the bite is? I've read a couple articles stating a few fish are starting to get to the area.
If you've landed a few salmon, would you help a rookie on what has been working? I make the annual pilgramage to Lake Michigan, however we have mixed luck in the past years.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Take a kid fishing and keep them off the street!

Fish Two Rivers or Algoma. I've been doing well in Two Rivers for the last 3 weeks. Green on green flasher flies in the bottom 50 feet of water from 100-180 has been good. Rainbows are scattered right now so concentrate on Kings. Spoons on dipseys like glow bloody nose, Mag prokings in purple camo, Rootbeer, and orange set at 2 with 50-80 loc. Pumphandles off boards with 6-16 oz of lead set 150-250 feet back have been good. Best activity has been from 85-130 feet down on riggers and pumphandles. Fishing is similar in Algoma. If green doesnt work, Blue, white and chartreuse flashers with aqua, green, llb, mirage flies have all done well.

Blackbird,
Thanks for the tips! I don't have as much time as I'd like on the lake, so I really appreciate your guidance.
If your in the area over the weekend, I'd like to buy you a beverage of your choice for the pointers.
I'll be in a red 619 Ranger, so stop by if you around and say hi! We'll be on the radio as well.
Have a great 4th of July!
