Looking for some advice heading to Wheatley Saturday and the forcast is 25km/hr or 15 mph winds from the SSW any input on fish ability. Is it going to be too rough, what would you expect wave heights to be? It's a 3.5 hr run just don't want to waist $250 in gas.

Thanks,

I would imagine that the fetch would be in full force on that part of the lake with a SSW wind at 25mph...

how big's your boat and where are you launching from? I'd maybe wait and make the call friday night. here's off shore forecast i'm seeing for us waters
SATURDAY...SOUTH WINDS 5 TO 15 KNOTS BECOMING SOUTHWEST AND
INCREASING TO 15 TO 25 KNOTS IN THE AFTERNOON. CHANCE OF SHOWERS
AND THUNDERSTORMS IN THE AFTERNOON. SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS
LIKELY OVERNIGHT. WAVES BUILDING TO 2 TO 4 FEET.

based on that forecast, i'd be a little leary. if you're still over there and its blowing 25 knots, you could be heading back into 6 footers easy!

Am driving over to fish Saturday. Hope winds are not too bad. Does anyone have any good starting numbers for this weekend? Thanks for your help.
