Ontario fishing trip

I'm planning a firstime week fishing trip to canada for 4-6 people for the first or second week of June. I would like a drive to/boat in cabin off the beaten path if possible within 3hrs drive from Toronto. We would be fishing for walleye and smallies. I'd appreciate any information you could provide.

Maybe the Great Lakes are different, but smallmouth season doesn't open up in Ontario until the last Saturday in June. At least, where I come from - Ottawa - it doesn't...
